Do I need WooCommerce?
For Subscriptions, yes. Memberships runs on WordPress alone for lifetime and fixed-term plans; WooCommerce adds product and order grants.
Can I use only one module?
Yes. Switch the other off and it is never loaded.
What happens when a subscription is cancelled?
Subscription-driven plans end with it, and any roles the plan granted are removed. Roles the plugin didn't grant are left alone.
Are renewals charged automatically?
Where the gateway supports off-session payments and a card was saved, yes. Otherwise the customer gets a renewal invoice by email.
What do I need to run it?
WordPress 5.8 or later and PHP 7.4 or later.
Is it free?
Yes. Both modules are free; there is no paid version.
How do I install it?
Upload the zip under Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin, activate it, then switch on the modules you need under Jazital → Subscriptions & Memberships.
