FAQ

Questions

Does it change how regular posts work?

No. Regular posts keep WordPress's own sticky feature.

Does it work with block themes and the Query Loop block?

Yes. Turn on “Show sticky items first” on a Query Loop block; archive templates pick up the order automatically.

Will my theme style sticky items?

Yes. Sticky items get the same sticky CSS class WordPress uses for posts.

Why doesn't an item appear first on my home page?

“Top of the home page” only applies when your home page already lists that content type.

What happens when I deactivate it?

Items stay recorded as sticky the way WordPress records them. Ordering stops until it is reactivated.

Is it free?

Yes. Everything on this page is in the free plugin.

How do I make a custom post type sticky?

Activate the plugin, open an item and choose where it sticks — or click the star in the list.
