Is there a free version of this WordPress staging plugin?
Yes. Everything on this page is in the free plugin.
Will the staging copy email my customers?
No. Email is off on the copy, and messages are captured so you can read what would have been sent.
Can a staging site take a real payment?
No. Requests to the payment gateways are refused on the copy.
Will a copy use up a plugin licence activation?
Not for licensing systems with staging support; the copy is declared through each vendor's own mechanism.
Does it work on multisite?
Not yet. The plugin refuses rather than guessing.
Can I push changes from staging back to live?
Not in this version. Take a backup on the copy and restore it where you want it.
How do I install it?
Upload the plugin, activate it, open Staging in the admin menu and choose Create a staging site.
